Let’s start by reviewing the meaning of trust. According to McMaster University, trust is ‘the willingness to depend on an exchanging partner in whom one has confidence.’
The importance of trust is obvious in the real world, but the lines blur slightly when we enter the eCommerce space and it impacts buyer decisions at every step of the purchase process, starting with influencing the decision to visit your site in the first place, buying your product, promoting your brand, and returning to your site again. If they don’t trust you, visitors won’t do any of those.
