On Sunday 30th October, our dedicated team of Prima runners – Oli, Steve, Kate, Dan, and Andrew – and our special guest – Pete Price from Office Essentials – took part in the Chester Zoo 10km to raise money for Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
Although most of the team would typically be lounging about on a Sunday morning regretting the extra beer from Saturday night, we arrived at the event bright, refreshed, and eager to get our running shoes on for a great cause.
We cleared up the initial confusion that some of the team were escaped zoo animals and took our places with the rest of the runners to begin the race.
After weeks of hard work and training, we’re happy to report that all of the team completed the run in spectacular times with some spectacular photos if anyone requires the evidence!

Our Customer Services Manager Oli Rowles had the below to say after the race:
“When we discussed the possibility of arranging a team run at Prima HQ, we decided it would make great sense to raise some money for charity in the process. The reason we chose Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity was due to the huge difference that can be made in the care that the families and babies receive at the hospital. You may already know about the challenges NHS trusts face but any additional funds that can be raised on behalf of the Trust will help to enhance overall patient experience by providing services and equipment above what is normally funded by the NHS. My Fiancée has just qualified as a full-time midwife so I hear first-hand just what a brilliant job the midwives offer and I am so proud that we were able to raise money for this brilliant charity on our first (hopefully of many) fundraising runs!”
