Tuesday 3rd December is Giving Tuesday so it is the perfect day to kick-start our local Christmas Charity support campaigns.
Today our very helpful elf, Molly, visited a local charity that cares for and re-homes lost and abandoned dogs from all over the North-West of England.
Christmas is one of their busiest times of the year so sadly it was packed full of loving dogs looking for a new family home. It was fantastic to see how well the dogs looked and obvious that they each receive exceptional level of care and love from the staff.
Last year alone, they cared for nearly 500 dogs, re-homing 450 of them and with up to thirty abandoned dogs in their care at any one time, They do not receive government or lottery funding so they really need the extra help.
We met up with a local hero and gentleman called Barry who runs Merseyside Dogs Home and offered him a small gesture of support by supplying some food, treats, toys and blankets for the dogs over Christmas
