Supplier Spotlight | A conversation with Trimfold Envelopes

In this month’s Supplier Spotlight, we speak to Trimfold Envelopes, Ireland’s largest manufacturer and supplier of envelopes.

Following the recent news of Prima’s EDI integration with Trimfold Envelopes, I thought it would be a great time to learn a little more about their company. I recently caught up with Marketing Manager, Barbera Mellerick to find out how their products and services can benefit Prima customers.

Tell us a little bit about your business. What do you offer? 

Trimfold Envelopes is Ireland’s largest manufacturer and supplier of envelopes, print and mail-media solutions, producing over 600,000,000 envelopes per year.

Based in the Heritage town of Trim in Co.Meath, we specialise in high volume production of stock products and bespoke items. In addition to our manufacturing facility we also have a dedicated envelope printing department on site servicing the whole of the island of Ireland with fast turnaround times. All of the paper used by Trimfold Envelopes in the production of our envelopes comes from sustainable sources and we carry both FSC® and PEFC certification. We ensure that all the component products used in our envelopes—the paper, the window film, the inks and glues—are all of the highest standard, environmentally safe and ethically sourced. Our inks and glues are waterbased and our manilla paper is made from 100% recycled post consumer waste. We work hard to limit the environmental impact of our business—keeping waste to a minimum and recycling what waste we produce. We are always seeking new ways to manage our businesses in as sustainable a way as possible. Our modern 100,000 sq. ft plant comprises 78,000 sq. ft of manufacturing facilities and 22,000 sq.ft of warehousing, and we can produce orders from several hundred or several million envelopes at a time.

As a manufacturer, Trimfold Envelopes can offer great flexibility and excellent service, both for product and logistics throughout Ireland, located as we are 40k North East of Dublin. For stationery customers, we offer the only option for their consumers to choose an Irish manufactured envelope, from sustainably sourced or recycled paper, whether with a window or plain, printed or ex stock. Our EDI options ensure ordering from Trimfold Envelopes is quick, accurate and convenient for our customers whilst providing all back office and invoicing requirements too.

We have recently completed electronic trading capabilities with your company.  What would you say are the main benefits of using EDI for our Community?
